FARGO – A two-vehicle crash this morning in the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 near the Red River bridge backed up traffic for a couple of miles.

The crash happened before 8 a.m. on the North Dakota side, and authorities closed the right lane, said Minnesota State Patrol Sgt. Jesse Grabow, who was assisting North Dakota troopers at the scene.

No one was injured in the crash.

By 8:45 a.m., all lanes of the interstate were open to traffic, Grabow said.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation has lifted the travel alert for the Fargo area, but it remains in effect for the northeast corner of the state. Drivers are urged to use caution because of icy conditions and blowing snow.
