A long line of Christmas trees is lighting up the holiday season at the Columbia Mall in Grand Forks.
The Listen Center and the Optimist Club put on the festival of trees each year. Business and families sponsor trees to raise money for families. The Listen Center then donates each tree to a less fortunate family.
More than 50 different businesses sponsor trees and community volunteer groups get together to decorate them. The money has helped hundreds of people in the Greater Grand Forks area. The display has become a very popular place for kids during the holiday season.
Janet Gadaire, who is bringing her grandchildren to Festival of Trees said, "With the lights on the trees the different, they way they are decorated. Mickey Mouse, the Cars and he also like to go down on the end where santa claus is."
The display is free and can be seen during Columbia Mall hours in the north entrance near Sears.
