EGF police receive several complaints about telephone scams

East Grand Forks police say they have gotten several complaints Monday about telephone scams. The latest scam involved computerized phone calls, asking people for personal information, supposedly because their credit card accounts have been locked.

East Grand Forks police say they have gotten several complaints Monday about telephone scams. The latest scam involved computerized phone calls, asking people for personal information, supposedly because their credit card accounts have been locked.

Police are warning against ever giving out personal information over the phone. If you do get such a call they say you should hang up and contact your bank or credit card company.
