The world continues to remember Nelson Mandela. The former South African President passed away last Thursday. This week memorials and celebrations continue to honor his legacy.

Since passing away last week, the world has both mourned the death and celebrated the life of Nelson Mandela. From South Africa to the United States, there has been an outpouring of support for the man who became the face of justice for not only his home country of South Africa, but the world as a whole.

On Thursday President Obama spoke of the impact that Mandela had on his life and today, he joined a group of US dignitaries heading to South Africa for a memorial service.

The service will happen Tuesday inside a soccer stadium near Johannesburg.

Around 100 world leaders and tens of thousands of mourners are expected to attend and watch the ceremony for the man who worked so hard to change the world.
