If you take a trip through our state capitol, you may leave singing 'O Christmas Tree.' The annual State Tree Lighting Ceremony is held to ring in the holidays.

The ceremony is conducted by Governor Jack Dalrymple and First Lady Betsy Dalrymple along with live entertainment and Christmas carols. The tree is decorated with over 360 handmade ornaments from people from all over North Dakota.

Two special students, Emma Kleppe and Max Mueller were excited to know that something they created would be seen at the capitol.

The state capitol tree will be on display through December 31st.
