A Moorhead man charged in the death of his 5-month-old daughter will have to wait to learn his sentence. Andrew Sandstrom says he fell asleep inside his apartment back in June after leaving his baby girl inside the family's hot vehicle.

Sandstrom appeared in Clay County Court Friday, where he thought a judge would decide his fate. Instead, when he walked into the courthouse, his defense attorney told him there were problems with the pre-sentencing investigation.

Specifically, it took longer than expected. Sandstrom was surprised to learn of the continuance, but refused to comment.

At his last hearing, Sandstrom admitted to leaving baby Christiana inside the family's hot van for four hours while he slept inside the family's home.
