School called off at Central Cass Monday because of high heat inside

Bitter cold outside, Blistering heat inside. That would have been the issue Monday for students at Central Cass, if they went to school.

Bitter cold outside, Blistering heat inside. That would have been the issue Monday for students at Central Cass, if they went to school.

Class was called off around 5:30 AM Monday when an issue causing the classroom temperatures to reach heights over 100 degrees couldn't be fixed.

A part that tells the boiler whether or not to send heat through the school is being replaced. Central Cass Schools Superintendent Mark Weston says that at no point of time were students in harms way.

Workers have been able to bypass the system until the new part arrives so students should expect to be in class Tuesday.
