The parents of some Century elementary students are unhappy about the length of time it took the Grand Forks School District to notify them of a lockdown. The school was locked down for 15 minutes Tuesday afternoon when police believed a suspect had entered the school. The school was searched, but no suspect was found. However, the district didn't send out a message informing parents until shortly before the school day ended.

It took the district about 2 hours after things got back to normal at Century elementary send out some kind of notification to parents. That was too long for some parents.
