Last week Kist Livestock sold 7500 head of cattle. This week, with the cow sale on Monday, and the feeder calf sale on Wednesday, the barn will sell roughly 8500 head of cows.

In fact so many, the stock cow sale scheduled for Saturday, with roughly 2-thousand head consigned, had to be canceled. Matt Lachenmeier with Kist Livestock says it was a tough decision for the barn to make.

Matt Lachenmeier of Kist Livestock said, "Our yards are so full. We are just filled up. And our help factor. Short help. A lot of cattle are still going to be in the yards and we would have cattle coming tomorrow. We just can't do any justice to the producer and that is who we care about the most."

Once again, this Saturday's Stock Cow Sale has been canceled. Kist will be holding 2 Stock Cow Sales in January, on the 11th and 25th.
