There's two days until Christmas which for many people means there's still plenty of time to finish or even start their Christmas shopping. To handle to the rush of last minute shoppers, many stores are adjusting their business hours.

As of December 9th, it was reported that 32 million shoppers hadn't started their Christmas gift buying. With time now running out before the big day large retailers in the Grand Forks area are adjusting their hours for the final push of gift buyers.

Monday evening K-Mart and Sears are open until midnight, with Target open until 11 PM.

Tuesday many will open their doors early for the final blitz of those looking for the last things on their gift lists.

It's not just large retailers that are adjusting their hours, the holiday season is an important time for many local businesses. Some have changed their schedules to accommodate shoppers, with others offering special discounts.

The extended hours and specials deals are the result of a variety of factors, including a shorter shopping season from Thanksgiving and Christmas as well as harsh winter weather in the midwest.
