With 2013 wrapping up, many are wondering what's happening with the Farm Bill. Farmers are now headed into their 2nd straight year without a new farm bill.

The previous deadline was September 30th, but it was missed. However, members of congress say its at the top of their list when they return from holiday break.

North Dakota Sen. Heidi Heitkamp said, "Very, very close on negotiations, in fact, some would argue the package has already been negotiated, its just a matter of getting it through the house and getting it through the senate, I anticipate that we're going to have a farm bill, by the middle of January."

If an agreement is not made then prices for milk could jump up to 8 dollars per gallon.
