Senator John Hoeven's call to push the farm bill forward were not answered Thursday.

On tuesday -- Senator Hoeven was working to put the bill on a fast track to the house and senate floor by having the ag conference committee vote to reconcile a final version of the bill. Hoeven was hoping the voting would take place today but members working on the bill have refused to come to an agreement. Farm bill negotiations will extend into next week.

"You know, I think that's unfortunate, I think we need to move and I'm going to keep pushing on all of the conferees to have a vote and get this thing wrapped up," said Hoeven.

Officials say agreeing on cuts to food stamps has been one of the biggest issues on getting a compromise.
