Crookston man struck by car at roadside

A 19-year-old Crookston man was injured after being hit by a car on the side of U.S. Highway 75 near Eldred, Minn., in Polk County.

A 19-year-old Crookston man was injured after being hit by a car on the side of U.S. Highway 75 near Eldred, Minn., in Polk County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Landen Duckworth-Rudnick, 18, of Crookston, was driving a 2001 Ford Taurus south when he slowed for a snow drift, where Andrew Boucher was trying to dig out his car. Duckworth-Rudnick’s car slid in the drift and sideswiped Boucher’s car and struck him as he stood at left front corner of his car.

Boucher was knocked onto the windshield of the other vehicle and was thrown over the car and into the snow bank.

According to the Patrol, Boucher, of Crookston, was taken to a hospital in Crookston for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
