People are getting ready for Thursday's blizzard, it's something many have had a lot of practice this year. Many people have already cancelled travel plans for Thursday and schools will wait to see what they will do.

The sun was shining late Wednesday afternoon in Grand Forks, we were in sort of a break from what the area experienced Wednesday morning. A good dose of blowing and drifting snow caused reduced visibility along Highway 2 near Crookston.

Many schools are in limbo on what they will do about classes Thursday. The National Weather Services say with Thursday's wind, it will not take much for things to get dangerous quickly.

Mark Ewens with the National Weather Service said, "This warm air surge ahead of it is going to put a little bit of a crust on it, and even if we get a little bit of some freezing drizzle on top of it that makes it a little messy. But there will be more snow coming with the higher winds as well."
