An unusual twist concerning the Stop-N-Go robbery Wednesday morning

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Police are still searching for two men who robbed a Fargo Stop-N-Go early this morning.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Police are still searching for two men who robbed a Fargo Stop-N-Go early this morning.

One of them was brandishing a hammer - before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

In an unusual twist police arrested the store clerk because he had a warrant out for his arrest, in Colorado.

The irony - he was wanted for felony burglary.

That man is 28 year old Joshua Kilby of Fargo.

Tonight he is behind bars at the Cass County Jail.

Stop-N-Go's Store Supervisors wasn't available to comment on camera, but says they DO background check all their employees - checking records in North Dakota and Minnesota.

Just after 2 a.m. Kilby called authorities saying his store had been robbed.

Multiple surveillance videos show two men wearing face masks entering the store - brandishing a weapon, suspected to be a hammer, and demanding money.

Lietuetant Joel Vettel, with Fargo Police, say the two men made off with some cash - but it's unknown where they fled after leaving the store.

Police searched the area, but came up empty handed.

At this time - there's a lot of unanswered questions.

Lt. Joel Vettel/Fargo Police Department: “That's something we look at with every robbery. There is always the potential that there is some kind of inside information or connection to the people inside and that is something that is part of the on-going investigation.”

At this time Police aren't releasing any surveillance video but they do have suspect descriptions.

One man is described as an African American - a little shy of 6 feet tall and around 250 pounds.

The other perpetrator had a lighter complexion - standing 5’8” tall and around 170 pounds.

If you have any information you're asked to call police.
