Two people were injured in a head-on collision in Langdon, N.D., Friday morning.
At about 8 a.m., Mary Ellen Heck was driving home on N.D. Highway 1 in Langdon, according to a North Dakota Highway Patrol news release.
Heck, 67, Langdon, attempted to make a left turn onto 13th Avenue and turned in front of Gary Metzger, 56, Langdon, as he was on his way to work, according to the release.
Metzger braked and tried to steer his vehicle away from Heck’s but was unable to avoid the collision.
Both vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage and were towed from the scene, according to the release.
Metzger, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital in Langdon for treatment. Heck, who was wearing a seat belt, was also treated at the hospital and released with minor injuries.
Cavalier County Sheriff’s Office and Cavalier County Search and Rescue also responded to the scene.
