More than 40 teams of kids from Minnesota and North Dakota battled it out in a Lego competition.

The kids took part in Lego's 2014 Nature's Fury Challenge; teams competed with robots they had spent the last several months designing.

They combined skills of problem solving, math, science and technology to tackle tasks related to natural disasters.

Meredith Ward/Volunteer: “It gets a bunch on younger kids interested in engineering and it's a great amount of fun because they get to play with Lego's which is awesome.”

The winners of Saturday's competitions received trophies made out of Lego's.
