UND Student Files to Run For GF City Council in Ward 2

The former UND student body president is making a run for Grand Forks city council.

The former UND student body president is making a run Grand Forks city council.

Tyrone Grandstrand, 24, has filed with the city to run for the Ward 2 council seat. Grandstrand is a UND student majoring in economics and political science. He graduates in 2011. Mike McNamara currently holds the Ward 2 seat but is not running again.

Hal Gershman has filed to keep his seat in Ward 4, and Dana Sande has filed to run in Ward 6. Art Bakken currently holds that seat and is not running again.
