As Giving Hearts Day continues and groups raise funds, some are getting creative in their approach.
The Grand Forks Senior Center is hosting the feed grandma rock-a-thon. In a an effort to raise $10,000 for the senior nutrition program, center staff, seniors and community members were rockin out in rocking chairs Thursday.
Jami Schumacher, Public Relations and Development Specialist said, "Here at the Senior Center people can come together and share meals. We also have 4 other dining sites in our community where people can come together. Our Senior nutrition programs also include our meals on wheels program and our frozen meals that people can purchase."
The mission of the Senior Center is to help keep seniors healthy and independent in their homes.
