12-year-old trapped after snow fort collapsed

This is one of those stories that just could've ended so badly but luckily it didn't. 12-year-old Steven Morse had dug a tunnel in a mound of snow, playing in a snow fort.

This is one of those stories that just could've ended so badly but luckily it didn't. 12-year-old Steven Morse had dug a tunnel in a mound of snow, playing in a snow fort.

Steven has aspergers, so from time to time his behavior can be difficult and he can become unresponsive. That's what his parents thought was happening when he stopped responding to them, but then his dad went on the other side of the snow bank and realized his son was trapped.

Steven Morse, survived snow fort collapse said, "The last thing that I remember was praying that I could survive and hoping that I will make it out and I went on my back and I saw a dim light which gave me just that much hope for me be able to keep breathing. And I was scared."

Steven's parents say his ability to stay calm and think through what was happening helped save his life.
