An explosion at a new Sanford Health Center in Moorhead sent one to the hospital Monday.
The blast caused extensive damage inside near the lobby, and some structural damage to the building, which is still under construction.
The clinic was set to open March 3rd - in just one week. A spokesperson for the clinic says now he isn't sure when it will open to the public - weeks, months -- He wouldn't say.
Just after 1 this afternoon crews responded to the new medical facility just off of I-94.
Fire crews say the injured worker was in an elevator shaft near the site of the propane explosion. There are two elevator shafts in the building - one of them is sealed off.
Fire crews tell us they suspect some type of flammable gas built up in that shaft and blew. The blast damaged the lobby waiting area.
