ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) - A funeral is scheduled Monday for a
Minnesota soldier who died in Baghdad.
Army Reserve Sgt. Kurt Kruize of St. Cloud died
April 4 in a military accident. His father says Kruize was crushed
between a truck and a trailer.
Kruize, who was 35, grew up in Hancock, in west-central
Minnesota. He leaves behind a wife and four children between the
ages of 2 and 13.
A funeral Mass is set for 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral in
St. Cloud. Lt. Gov. Carol Molnau will attend.
Gov. Tim Pawlenty has ordered all U.S. and Minnesota flags be
flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings in
Minnesota, from sunrise until sunset Monday, to honor Kruize.
