In East Grand Forks, firefighters were also called to an apartment fire in the early morning hours.

Just before 4:00am they got a call to 136 4th street northwest for a house on fire. The home has been converted to apartments and flames were showing on the second floor unit when they got there.

They put the fire out but the apartment is a total loss.
