Spin For Kids Raises Money For Families Of Special Needs Kids
Stationary bikers rode hard today at the Betty Englestad Sioux Center, as they pedaled to raise money for special needs kids.By: Renee Chmiel, WDAZ
Teams of eight riders took turns riding for 25 minutes each on stationary spin bikes. They recorded the mileage for each rider, as they tried to pedal as many miles as possible. Riders say even though they rode hard, it felt great to be able to help families of kids with special needs.
"It's just really, really exciting to see all the enthusiasm and excitement in each rider and when you're on that bike, it's just amazing. You feel like you can keep going and going and going," said Spin For Kids Rider Jody Haug.
Money raised today will be given to families in need to help them with medical bills and expenses.
