Grand Forks Police say they are using a "tried and true" method to get more information about a man who stabbed another man in the chest during a home robbery.

Police have been looking for the man who stabbed Tom Shirrick in the chest since September 17th... They have had close to 100 tips after releasing the composite sketch of the attacker, but nothing has panned out yet.

So, Police made a wanted poster to hang up around town.

This is one of the 100 posters police made in hopes of getting information about the man described by the victim and his wife.

Lt. Rahn Farder says its not too often that the Police Department will actually have a wanted poster made, but they are hoping to get some more leads from them.

Lt. Rahn Farder: "It's been a couple of times in my career we've done it, but... I guess, no, we haven't done it in awhile. I guess that speaks to how much we want the information."

The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the stabber is now up to about 7-thousand dollars.
