Career Fair At The Alerus Center

There was a job fair at the Alerus Center today and hundreds of eager job seekers were hoping for some luck in what they say is a tough market

Between 700-to-a thousand people were expected at today’s fair.

48-employers were on hand to evaluate the candidates.

From Lowe’s to Avon to Hugo's there were many different types of professions represented.

Job searchers say it’s harder than ever to get a job but the fair is a good way to network and potentially find a job.

"I felt like it was a good opportunity to meet many employers in one area instead of running all over town. Networking is difficult when you're new to the area so I thought it was a great opportunity."

This is the 15th year of the Grand Forks Job Fair
