JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota's Class B high school
baseball tournament is being moved to Minot because of a lack of
available hotel rooms in Jamestown due to other events in the area.
Dave Carlsrud with the High School Activities Association says
Minot and Fargo put together offers, and the association picked
Minot for the tournament June 3-5.
State tournament sites typically are set four or five years in
advance, and Jamestown has hosted the Class B baseball tournament
for decades.
Carlsrud says this is the first time in his 21 years with the
Activities Association that a tournament was moved because of a
lack of lodging.
