A fire in a vacant East Grand Forks building is now under investigation for being suspicious.
Just after 11:00pm on Sunday April 11th, a passerby noticed smoke coming out of the old Darkside Tattoo Shop just off Highway 220 and 17th street.
East Grand Forks fire and police responded to the scene and noticed that the fire appeared suspicious.
They called in the State Fire Marshal for further investigation.
"There was a smell of an accelerant that was possibly used and there have been samples taken from the building and sent to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Investigation lab for further testing," says East Grand Forks Police Detective Rod Hajicek.
The incident remains under investigation.
