ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - St. Paul attorney Jeff Anderson is
announcing details of a federal lawsuit against the Vatican and
Pope Benedict over the failure to defrock a Wisconsin priest
despite allegations he molested some 200 deaf boys from 1950 to
1975.
Anderson is holding a news conference Thursday afternoon at his
office in St. Paul.
Anderson says the plaintiff will be a victim of the Rev.
Lawrence Murphy. He says the victim sent certified letters to the
Vatican in 1995 asking that Murphy be defrocked, but they went
unanswered.
