Manvel School To Get A Technology Boost

Next year Manvel students will double their computer space, as the school boots up another 45 donated personal computers.

Next year Manvel students will double their computer space, as the school boots up another 45 donated personal computers.

They were recently donated by the Customs and Border Patrol in the Pembina District . In a computer surplus program Manvel was picked to receive the P Cs. They complimented with 13 new smart boards that just arrived. The donated computers are roughly a 40-thousand dollar value for the school.

The Manvel School received a state grant of 20-thousand dollars to help pay for the new smart boards. The Manvel School paid the remaining 30-thouand dollars for the boards. And Custom and Border Patrol workers are volunteering their time to set up those 45 computers.
