FARGO, N.D. (AP) - The interim president of North Dakota State
University is one of three finalists for the presidency of Bemidji
State University and Northwest Technical College in Minnesota.
The current president of those schools, Jon Quistgaard, plans to
retire this summer. His successor is expected to be named on May
19.
Richard Hanson stepped down as the president of Waldorf College
in Iowa to become NDSU's interim president late last year. He
replaced Joseph Chapman, who resigned after criticism of his
spending.
Hanson applied to be Chapman's permanent successor but was
eliminated from contention by a search committee.
