A group of West Elementary students are protesting the findings of a consultant's report that recommends closing their elementary school in Grand Forks.

The students held a sign and protested outside of the school Thursday morning when school was let out for the day.

After a five and a half month study on the Grand Forks school district, a consulting firm suggested the school board shut down Wilder Elementary School and West Elementary School as soon as possible to save money.

We will have more on the students' protest tonight on WDAZ news at 6.
