Former UND student body president Adam Baker is still in a coma in a Minneapolis hospital.
He has had a continuous fever and elevated heart rate.
Doctors are trying to stabilize him so he can be discharged to the Bethesda rehab hospital.
Baker has been in a Minneapolis trauma since May 2 when he suffered a head wound from an assault at a St. Michael, Minnesota bar.
Baker's caringbridge.org site says Baker's doctors assume he will start to move and respond soon.
31-year-old baker was assaulted in the early morning hours of May 2 outside of the Corner Bar in St. Michael, Minnesota and suffered a traumatic brain injury.
Alexander Tuomisto, 23, is charged with first degree assault. He has posted a $200,000 dollar bond.
The criminal complaint says that Tuomisto punched Baker once in the face, and when Baker fell to the ground he injured his head.
The complaint says police found Baker lying in the street in a pool of blood outside of the bar.
The complaint says after the police officer put Tuomisto in the squad car the next day, Tuomisto asked, "You probably can't tell me this but when can I tell my story?" The deputy told him an investigator would speak to him at the jail. Tuomisto continued, "...one punch, I don't know how this happened."
A fund has been set up to help pay for Baker's medical expenses.
Donations can be made to any U.S. Bank branch.
