A former Thief River Falls police officer has pled guilty to theft charges in Pennington County and will not go to trial.

Paul Kezar faced multiple counts of receiving stolen property. He is also charged in Marshall County, but a change of plea hearing is set for that county for Friday.

Pennington County sheriff's deputies were investigating a stolen lawn mower case and found it had been purchased from Kezar.

Investigators believe Kezar was also involved in the theft and sale of boats, trailers and ATVs.

He will be sentenced on the Pennington County charges in June.
