FARGO, N.D. (AP) - The director of facilities management at
North Dakota State University is resigning.
Bruce Frantz's resignation is effective May 17. The announcement
Thursday comes a day after the release of a state audit critical of
some campus projects including the new North Dakota State
University president's house.
NDSU vice president Bruce Bollinger says the resignation was a
"mutual agreement." He says the ongoing scrutiny of capital
projects at NDSU was a factor.
Frantz has been at NDSU for a decade. He will receive a
three-month severance package.
The state auditor's office report released Wednesday said
several building projects overseen by the state university system
weren't properly monitored. It also said some schools including
NDSU have not complied with capital project requirements in state
law and state Board of Higher Education policy.
