More Time For UND Transition To New Logo

The North Dakota Higher Education Board will give the UND President more time to transition to a new nickname and logo for UND. They voted to drop the nickname last month.

UND President Robert Kelley spoke with members of the board today at a meeting in Bismarck.

President Kelly announced last week the formation of committees to help with the transition to a new nickname and logo. But also said it would take time. He asked the board to give him to give him until next August to make the full transition to a new name. The original deadline was this coming August. The extra time will allow Kelly to make the adjustments needed to for a smoother transition.
