FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A former University of North Dakota student is accused of marrying a Bosnian woman for $15,000 so she could stay in the United States.

Jeffrey Goble is charged in federal court with marriage fraud. He was arrested earlier this month in Philadelphia.

Authorities say the 23-year-old Goble agreed to marry 28-year-old Alma Numic for cash. A federal affidavit says the ceremony took place in June 2008 at Fairy Tale Weddings in Grand Forks.

A witness says Goble did not know Numic before the wedding and they were not together after the ceremony.
