Officials promise a lot of fun for the community. He also had a few tips on how to keep the show safe and fun for everyone.

" We haven't had an air show here for years."

According to show director Lt. Col. Bradley Baugh, Saturday's air show at the Grand Forks Air Force Base is going to be something to see.

"We have a couple of civilian acts, lots of static displays of our military and civilian airplanes. Plus some food and fun."

The 319th Refueling Wing is hosting the first air show since 2006, and like any event, there are a few rules.

" This is a military installation. One, we don't want any weapons, we don't want any glass containers," Baugh said.

He also said to leave your coolers in the car and your pets at home. There are a few things you should not leave home without.

" Bring your cameras and kids," he said, that last one being the most important

" Kids can get on the airplanes, a lot are walk-around. They'll be able to talk to the pilots and air crew."

With everything in place, Baugh says Saturday will run smoothly.

" We have such a great community, everything will go great"
