The National Weather Service says the Red Lake River should rise to 21.5 by Thursday morning.
The Red Lake River was a foot over flood stage in Crookston today. Waters from the river have spilled over into the Central Park. Fire officials say they have been watching the predict ions from the National Weather Service.
" National Weather Service has estimated it at 21.5 by 7 am on May 27. At 5 pm this evening we're at 16.79," said Kent Ellingson with the Crookston Fire Department.
Ellingson says the Crookston Emergency Operation Center will open once the river reaches 20 feet.
The Two Rivers River is three feet over flood stage in Hallock and could rise another two feet before cresting on Friday. If it gets to 807.5, it would be just short of a top ten crest.
