BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem has ordered a circus to stop doing business in North Dakota.

Stenehjem issued the cease and desist order against American United Entertainment LLC, of Gainesville, Texas, also known as Great American Circus of the Stars. He says the circus performed in Park River and Grafton last summer and did not share a percentage of the ticket sales with the communities as promised.

A telephone number for American United Entertainment or Great American Circus of the Stars could not immediately be found in Gainesville.

Stenehjem says American United Entertainment LLC should not be confused with a different company, American United Entertainment in California, which is not the subject of any complaints.
