Red River wins 9th consecutive N.D. girls tennis title
Riders post 121st dual-meet win in row
Grand Forks Red River defeated Bismarck 5-0 Friday at Center Court Fitness Center to claim the North Dakota high school girls tennis championship.
It's the ninth consecutive state title and the 121st consecutive dual-meet win for the Roughriders.
West Fargo took third place with a 4-1 win over Fargo South, while Bismarck St. Mary's downed Williston 5-0 for fifth place.
Individual titles will be decided Saturday. Red River has three players in the singles semifinals and one team in the doubles semifinals.
