Camping in East Grand Forks may be a little easier this weekend than some of the busier holidays.
Although the Red River State Recreation Area has fewer campers than usual this weekend, they are sold out for holidays like the fourth of July.
Park Manager Gladwyn Lynne says with graduations and the holiday weekend, the park is about two-thirds full.
Lynne says the park is fully functional and ready for campers.
“Now there's been a lot of information out and stories that we're closed due to flooding in certain areas and that's not true. Only one campsite is closed down which is right on the river.”
The weekend of June 12th is the park's open house with several events including car shows, music and food.
