Grand Forks May Consider Texting & Driving Ban

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - Grand Forks city leaders are considering banning texting while driving.
City Council President Hal Gershman has urged the council to consider banning texting and driving within city limits. The issue has been put on next week's agenda for discussion
Gershman says residents have called him to complain about people sending messages while behind the wheel. He says he also has had some near accidents because of texting drivers.
Gershman says he's not seeking to ban talking on the phone and driving.
