North Dakota Counties Reject Time Change

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) - Residents of Stark and Billings counties in southwest North Dakota have rejected the idea of moving from Mountain time to Central time.
The idea was rejected by 74 percent of voters in Stark County and 82 percent in Billings.
The votes on Tuesday were advisory. The federal Department of Transportation is the only agency that can approve a time zone change.
