Thousands of people are expected to visit downtown Grand Forks and East Grand Forks this weekend for the Grand Cities Art Fest.
Vendors and artists spent the day setting up tents and preparing for tomorrow's crowd.
The event is bigger this year with 145 artists and 16 food vendors.
Art Fest is expected to bring about 35 thousand people to the downtown area this weekend.
There will be live music on two stages throughout the weekend and activities for kids.
Both artists and volunteers are excited for this year's bigger event.
"And people just milling about really just enjoying the event, having food, and enjoying the entertainment. It is just a fabulous time, it's so much fun. It's just a sea of white canopies, beautiful colorful artwork, lots of great things to see and do," says Nicole Derenne with North Valley Arts Council.
"It's one of the more fun shows that I do throughout the year. It's nice, easy, laid back set up so I really enjoy that," says Andy Hall, a photographer from St. Paul.
The event opens at 10:00 tomorrow morning and 10:00 Sunday morning and will go on rain or shine. Artists are set up in Town Square, the greenway, and Cabela's parking lot.
