Man Stabbed Four Times At Apartment Building

Suspect arrested after short manhunt.

A fight in Grand Forks late Tuesday night landed a man in the hospital with stab wounds and another man in jail.

Police were called to a fight at an apartment building at 817 36th Avenue South in Grand Forks at about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.

When they arrived they found 32-year-old Clarence Clauthier had been stabbed four times during the fight in the upper torso. The suspect had run off.

Sergeant Ben Johnson of the Grand Forks Police Department says 20-year-old Trevor Zahradka of East Grand Forks was arrested a short time later and charged with Attempted Murder, a class A felony.

Zahradka is being held in the Grand Forks County Jail.

Clauthier is in satisfactory condition at Altru Hospital.
