BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Thousands of North Dakota employers will be getting their workers compensation insurance bills cut in half during the next year.
The Workforce Safety and Insurance agency's advisory board on Thursday voted to propose the 50 percent dividend. The governor's approval is needed, and a spokesman for Gov. John Hoeven says he will endorse the idea. It will take effect July 1.
Agency director Bryan Klipfel says WSI's reserve fund has had good investment results, and some of that money will be shared with employers.
