Two families in Polk County north of Fisher suffered damage on their property from a tornado that passed through yesterday evening.

A shed on Raleigh Engel's property was flattened by the tornado as it came through. A vehicle was buried in the rubble and had other damages to the property included fallen tree branches, lost roof shingles and a leveled flagpole.

Engel says he and his family watched the tornado develop from their living room window.

"I was looking out my den window and I saw our neighbor's camper go up in the air and flip over. We went to the basement, we were there probably fifteen seconds, came back up, and it was done already," Engel said.

Engel says he has never had this kind of damage from a tornado before. In the surrounding area several trees were also knocked down and no one was injured on either property.
