Another search is planned for a missing Thief River Falls women. This week another plane will search a long stretch of the Red Lake River.

It will be one year next week that Gina Anderson was last seen driving away from her Thief River Falls home. And there have been few clue to what may have happened. Another river search will be done Thursday and Friday.

And to help with that, water is beening lower upstream on the Red Lake River. The municipal power damn in Thief River Falls started today lowering the level by six feet. And this will take a few days. But it will make the river very shallow and will reveal many objects that would not be normally seen with river water at normal levels.

Jim Van Schaick: "This is the time and season where the water is fairly stable and so we caould drop the water without causing a big impact downstream."

Many parts of the river have been search a couple of times using sonar. But the lower the water is another ways to give searchers a better look with the naked eye and cover more ground. Authorities would also like to remind hunters to keep an eye out for anything that might look suspicious in the rural areas.
