While many are thinking about summer vacations and remembering to pack the sunscreen, the Salvation Army is asking you to think about packing school supplies.
Once again this year they are sponsoring the Buy two give one Back to school supplies for kids.
Glue, crayons, folders and rulers are all things that will be needed in the upcoming school year.
Last year the promotion helped almost 600 kids. And with tighter family budgets every donation helps.
"It's not only this time we assist throughout the year because the school social workers will contact me and tell families to come down here. It's a partnership between Salvation Army and grand Forks Public Schools," says Lindy Beauchamp, Director of Social Services.
If you are in need of supplies you must sign up on July 15 or 16th. There are over 40 drop-off sites this year for those making a donation.
